How do you get wax out of car upholstery?

What are some ways to get wax out of car upholstery without damage? I spilled some car wax on my leather seats when I was washing my car. I don’t know how to get it off since I live in a warm place. It never seems to harden.

Living in a warm place makes it more difficult to remove wax from your seats, but it’s not impossible! Here’s how to get wax out of your leather car upholstery:
  • First, make sure to scoop up excess wax. You can use a butterknife or a popsicle stick for this, as long as you apply light pressure.
  • Place a bag of ice on the wax to harden it. Then, gently scrape away the wax.
  • Mix a clay-based cleaning product and water to make a paste. Rub the paste into
    the stain
    and let it dry.
  • Once the paste is dry, you can brush it off with a vacuum or an old toothbrush.
While this should remove the wax from your car’s upholstery, if it doesn’t, consider taking your car to a
detailer
. Detailers have professional products meant to address most situations related to your car, including upholstery spills or stains.
