How do you get silicone off car paint?

I was working with silicone on a couple of home projects in my garage, and I accidentally spilled some on my car door. How do I get silicone off car paint? Is there any way to get it off without damaging the paint?

I’m sorry that happened—but I’m happy to say there’s no need to cry over spilled silicone! If the silicone is still wet, you should be able to wipe most of it away with a rag.
However, if any residue remains, you can use acetone to get rid of it. Simply pour some acetone on a rag and wipe away the excess silicone. If you can’t get the silicone off, though, you may want to see if the damage is covered by your
