How do you get Sharpie off of your car’s interior?

How can I remove Sharpie off the inside of my car? Last week my daughter drew with Sharpie inside my car while on a long drive. I had no idea and now I'm worried it's permanent.

Kids are the best, aren’t they? Luckily, there are ways to remove even the largest Sharpie masterpieces.
To start:
  • Blot, but don’t rub, the stain with a dry cloth.
  • Spray the area directly with hairspray, vinegar, or rubbing alcohol.
  • Let it sit for about ten minutes.
  • Blot and remove it off with a clean, dry cloth.
  • If needed, repeat the steps.
Should this not remove the Sharpie, you could try an automotive upholstery cleaner or visit a detailer. They’ll have professional products that can likely remove the Sharpie.
