How do you get makeup off a leather car interior?

Last night, my partner was doing her makeup in the car and accidentally got it on my car seat. How can I get makeup off my leather car seat?

Oh no!
Car seat stains
are super annoying; but the good news is, cleaning your seat at home is pretty straightforward.
To get started, grab these materials:
  • Dry cloth x2
  • Bucket
  • Warm water
  • Dish soap
  • Sponge
  • Cornmeal
  • Leather conditioner
Once you have the materials, follow these steps:
  • Using the dry cloth, get rid of any excess makeup. Don’t rub to prevent it from soaking into the seat further.
  • In your bucket, mix some warm water with dish soap.
  • Dip the sponge into the solution and then dab the stain. Let it sit for a minute or so
  • With the other cloth you have, wipe the stain in a circular motion.
  • If there is any remaining makeup, use an absorbent like cornmeal and leave it on the spot overnight.
  • After sitting overnight, brush off the absorbent with either a cloth or brush.
  • Once you remove the stain, finish with a leather conditioner to protect your seat and keep it in good condition.
