What do I need to do to get a new title for a car in Pennsylvania? I lost mine and need to get it replaced as I'm planning to sell my car.

Car titles are one of those important documents that you rarely need. So try not to worry—you’re not the first person to lose one! Follow these steps to get a
new car title
in Pennsylvania:
  • Complete Form MV-380 (Application for a Duplicate Title).
  • Make a check or money order out to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Give the paperwork to the DMV.
For the final step, you must either hand in your forms at a local DMV or mail them to the following address:
PA Department of Transportation Bureau of Motor Vehicles P.O. Box 68593 Harrisburg, PA 17106
Remember, you’ll get the title immediately if you turn everything in at the DMV, but you’ll need to wait 4-6 weeks for your new title if you mail in the paperwork.
