How do you get a hardship license in Wyoming?

My parents are very busy with their work and unable to drive us to school. If we take public transit, it would take me and my sister more than an hour to get there since we live far away. How do I get a hardship license if I’m in Wyoming?

Wow, that’s a long time to spend on a bus every day!
You may be able to get a hardship license in
Wyoming
called a restricted learner’s permit, or hardship permit, to get to school. This type of license is for minors ages 14 to 15 years old.
To be eligible for this permit, you will need to meet one or more of the following requirements:
  • Your home is over five miles from your school
  • Your home is over five miles from your regular job, where you work a minimum of 10 hours weekly
  • You have a license to work for your parents’ business
  • You’re in a circumstance considered an extreme inconvenience by the Wyoming Highway Patrol
If you meet any of the conditions mentioned, you can fill out the Application for a Restricted Driver License or Permit Packet on the Wyoming Department of Transportation website and mail the forms to: Wyoming Highway Patrol, Restricted License Investigations, 5300 Bishop Blvd., Cheyenne, WY 82009-3340.
It can take up to six weeks for your forms to be processed. You will be notified of your approval by mail. Successful applicants will then have to submit the required documents at the local driver exam office and pass the written exam and visual screening.
