How do you get a hardship license in Kansas?

How can I get a hardship license in Kansas? I live out in the middle of nowhere and I can’t get to work without asking people to drive me there since I got a DUI. I’ve already been late a few times and I’m afraid of losing my job.

That sounds like a tricky situation. While you may not be able to get your license completely restored, you can get a hardship license in
Kansas
(or, more accurately, a restricted license) by visiting the DMV to apply.
To get your restricted license after a DUI conviction, you must agree to install an Ignition Interlock Device in your vehicle. You’ll also need to wait for 45 to 90 days before you can apply—if you were recently convicted of a DUI, you may be out of luck for now.
Once you get your restricted license, you’ll be able to drive to and from certain locations at certain times, like your job. However, you’ll have to wait until your suspension is lifted to drive whenever and wherever.
