How do you get a car loan from the Navy Federal Credit Union?
I’m in the Marine Corp and have been regularly deployed overseas for the last seven years. I recently accepted a new position and will be staying in the United States for the foreseeable future. I need to purchase a car for work and would like to go through my bank. How do you get a car loan from the Navy Federal Credit Union?

Getting a
car loan
from the Navy Federal Credit Union is pretty straightforward. You’ll need to provide some basic information and submit an auto loan application online or at a branch. To be preapproved for a loan, you’ll need to provide:
- Proof of identity and contact information
- Proof of residence
- Employment and income information
- Amount you expect to borrow and the loan term length
- Trade-in information, if applicable
If you’ve already found the vehicle you want, you’ll also need to provide:
- The VIN
- Registration state
- The exact mileage
- The dealer or seller’s name
