.To fix the uneven spray paint on your car, you should:
- Sand the area smooth using medium or fine-grit sandpaper.
- Wash the area using soap and water or a degreaser.
- Apply a few coats of primer, if necessary.
- Repaint the area.
- Protect the new paint using a clear coat.
When painting, it’s important to remember that:
- Light coats are better than thick coats.
- Allowing each coat of primer or paint to dry entirely will produce a better finish.
- You should keep the can at a 90° angle six to twelve inches away and use slow and even hand motions.
- Each pass should overlap by about one-third.
