How do you fix bubbling paint on a car?
I recently purchased a car from my aunt that runs great but has seen some better days. I want to clean up the vehicle, but how can I fix the bubbling paint?

Congratulations on the new purchase! I’m glad to hear the car runs well, and fixing bubbling car paint isn’t too challenging, but it will require a few supplies and some elbow grease.
To fix bubbling paint on a car, you will need:
- Putty knife or similar scraping tool
- Sandpaper
- Mineral spirits
- Body filler
- Primer
- Paint
Once you have your supplies, you should:
- Scrape off the bubbling paint using a putty knife or similar tool.
- Remove any rust and smooth the area using medium-grit sandpaper.
- Wipe the surface clean, dampen the area with mineral spirits, and let it dry.
- Apply one or two coats of primer and let dry.
- Apply a body filler to even out the area and let dry until hardened.
- Smooth the filler using sandpaper and wipe clean.
- Apply touch-up paint until blended with the existing paint.
