How do you fix an error on a car title?

What do I need to do to fix an error on my car title? Everything is technically right, but they misspelled my last name. I’m worried I might have issues with it in the future when selling my car.

While this is definitely a big mistake, it’s also fixable! The first thing you should do is call the DMV when trying to fix an error on your car title. They can give you an overview of any documents or forms you’ll need.
That said, in most states, you’ll be asked to draw one line through the misspelling and write in the correction manually. Don’t use white-out, as this could be grounds to void your title. It’s also likely that you’ll need to acknowledge the mistake in the form of a
notarized
statement. Once submitting this to the DMV, you won’t have to worry about the mistake when you sell your car!
After you’ve fixed up your title, why not take an extra minute to fix your car insurance policy? Many people pay too much for car insurance, but the
