How do you fix a broken AC knob in a car?

While adjusting the air conditioning in my car, the control knob broke off. As much as I love driving in a cool vehicle, it’s a bit chillier than I’d like. How can I fix my car’s broken AC knob?

Oh no—having a cool vehicle can certainly be nice, but not if that’s your only option!
To fix the broken AC knob in your car, you should:
  • Check the knob and the rod it connects to for any damage. If you don’t see any damage, you may just need to push the knob back into place!
  • Order a replacement knob if the rod seems to be intact and only the knob is damaged. The fix should be as simple as attaching the new knob in this situation.
  • Visit the dealership or a mechanic if the rod is damaged or installing a new knob doesn’t fix the problem. Chances are the damage is more severe. They may have to remove the entire dashboard to fix the problem.
Finally, if you want to save some money on car expenses, you should download the
