How do you dye car seats black?

My car is getting a little old and the seats don’t hide that fact! Although the car still runs like it’s new, I want to update my seat color to black to hide the aging. How do I do this?

I’m glad to hear your car still runs like it’s new, let’s get the inside looking good to match it! You can dye your cloth seats using a sprayable fabric dye and a brush with stiff bristles.
Here are some tips:
  • Start off by taping plastic sheets inside of your car, leaving only the seats exposed.
  • Be sure to wear latex gloves for the dyeing process and follow the instructions on the dye.
  • Go one seat at a time. Carefully spray the dye onto the seat and use a brush to spread it evenly into the fabric.
  • Let it dry fully.
