How do you drive a car in Battlegrounds?

Every time I try to drive in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, my car flies off the mountain or crashes into something. If you’re on a PC, how do you drive a car in Battlegrounds? I must be doing something wrong.

You’re not alone, my friend. Cars in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) are far more touchy and difficult to handle than cars in real life. Here are some general tips on how to drive a car in Battlegrounds.
Your default driving controls on a PC will be:
  • A—left, B—right
  • W—forward, S—back
  • Space—handbrake
  • Shift—boost
  • Left click—honks
  • CTRL + 1—switch to driver’s seat
  • CTRL + 2/3/4—switch to other seats in the car
You can change these controls to make your car easier to handle by heading to the control tab inside your settings menu.
Now, to conquer those mountains and hills, you’re going to want to cool it on the boost and throttle the moment you’re at the top of the hill. Otherwise, your wheels will most certainly be off the ground.
Generally, a little is a lot in this game so tap A or B instead of smashing it, and you’ll have at least a little more success avoiding those collisions.
While we can’t protect our vehicles—or ourselves really—in PUBG, we can protect them in real life with good insurance.
