Try not to be nervous about your first driving exam! Here are the steps you’ll need to follow in order to
parallel park
successfully on your driving test:
  1. Pull up so that your car is parallel to the vehicle parked in front of the space you’d like to park in. Turn on your turn signal to show your intent.
  2. Check your mirrors and blind spots, then begin reversing and, as you move backward, turn your steering wheel to the right.
  3. As your car moves into the spot, slowly straighten your steering wheel.
  4. When your front bumper reaches the rear bumper of the car in front of you, begin to turn your wheel to the left to fully move into the space.
  5. Move forward if necessary in order to give the car behind you more room.
