How do you do ceramic coating?

I want to put ceramic coating on my car myself to save some extra money. I’ve done car work at home before, but this will be my first time applying ceramic coating. How do you do ceramic coating?

, wash and wax, and even apply ceramic coating. It may take a bit of time and a careful hand, but here is how you can do ceramic coating for your car:
  • Wash and dry your car. The two-bucket method is recommended.
  • Prep the surface by using a clay bar.
  • Park out of the sun and in a well-ventilated area.
  • Read all instructions found in whichever ceramic coating kit you have purchased.
  • Apply ceramic coating to the car using the applicator in straight lines and working in small areas.
  • Let product sit as directed in the instructions, typically between 30 and 90 seconds.
  • Wipe off the product using a microfiber towel.
  • Let the product cure for 24 hours, and make sure nothing gets on it—not even water.
