How do you deactivate a Tesla key card?

My ex-boyfriend has a key card for my Tesla, but it’s legally my car. He hasn’t given the card back and the relationship didn’t end well, so I’m worried that he might try to do something. Is there a way for me to deactivate the key card?

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re going through that! Yes, there’s a simple way to deactivate a
Tesla
key card. Just follow these steps:
  1. Get into your Tesla and enter the Car Menu on your display screen.
  2. Select Locks.
  3. Find the key card that you want to erase and select the trash can icon next to it.
  4. You’ll see a series of prompts on your screen. Follow the prompts to complete the removal of the key from your car’s system.
