How do you connect to Bluetooth on a Ford Transit?
I just bought a Ford Transit for work and want to connect my phone via Bluetooth to access navigation and music. How do I do that?

Great idea! Connecting to Bluetooth is one of the simplest ways to avoid
distracted driving
and stay safe on the road. The steps to connect to Bluetooth on a Ford Transit
depend on whether you have Ford SYNC or not. Here’s what you’ll need to do:With SYNC:
- Open the Settings tab on your mobile device and ensure Bluetooth is activated.
- On your SYNC multimedia system, press Phone > Add Phone to make the system discoverable from your mobile device. You may see a unique PIN displayed on the screen.
- On your device’s Bluetooth menu, select your Ford SYNC system.
- A message will pop up on your SYNC screen to confirm the pairing request—press YES or CONFIRM.
- Your mobile device and Ford SYNC system are now connected via Bluetooth.
Without SYNC:
- Open the Settings menu on your mobile device and enable Bluetooth.
- Press Settings on the Feature bar on your vehicle’s touchscreen and tap Bluetooth.
- Slide the Bluetooth toggle to On.
- Touch “Add a Bluetooth Device.” You will be prompted to search for the vehicle on your mobile device.
- Select your Transit on the device.
- A number will appear on your device’s screen and your vehicle’s touchscreen. Confirm these two numbers match on the touchscreen.
- Once confirmed, the touchscreen display will confirm you have successfully paired your device.
