, you’ll need to follow a few simple steps and ensure that your Sierra is a 2009 model or later, to ensure it has Bluetooth connectivity. First, you’ll want to look at your phone before beginning the pairing process. Ensure that your phone’s Bluetooth connectivity setting is on and that it is discoverable, meaning that other devices, such as your car’s infotainment system, can detect and connect to it.
Now, you can begin the pairing process. Follow these steps to connect your phone to Bluetooth in a GMC Sierra:
- Step one: push either the “CONFIG” or the “Phone” button in the center of your instrument panel display.
- Step two: select “phone setting” using the MENU control knob.
- Step three: select “pair phone.”
- Step four: begin the pairing process on your phone after your GMC has prompted you.
- Step five: once your phone has found your GMC Sierra, select it and input the four-digit pin your car has displayed on the screen.
- Step six: accept the connection on your GMC Sierra’s display screen.
And that’s all there is to it! Now, you can access music and handsfree calling via your wireless Bluetooth connection. This feature enhances your car’s safety, as you do not have to manually control your phone to benefit from its functions while driving.
