How do you connect to Apple CarPlay in a BMW?
I recently purchased a brand new BMW, and I want to set up Apple CarPlay. The problem is I’m not the most tech-savvy person. How do you use Apple CarPlay?

! Figuring out the features of a new vehicle can be tricky, but connecting to Apple CarPlay should only take a few minutes.To connect to Apple CarPlay in your BMW, you should:
- Open your phone and go to Settings > General > CarPlay to enter pairing mode.
- Locate and open your car’s Com menu using the display screen.
- Select Mobile devices and then New device.
- Select Phone calls and audio and then choose your iPhone from the list displayed on the screen.
- Hit Pair on your phone and follow any additional prompts.
- Select Confirm note and connect to Apple CarPlay on your car’s display screen.
Additionally, to switch between your car’s iDrive program and CarPlay, you can:
- Open the Com menu in your car and select Mobile devices and the device you want to connect.
- Select Connection mode and choose between BMW iDrive or Apple CarPlay.
