I’m driving around my brother’s Audi A3 while I watch his house, but I’m having a hard time figuring out how to play my music or use my phone maps. How do you set up Bluetooth on the Audi A3?

Driving around a snazzy A3 is a nice trade-off for house-sitting! Here’s how to connect a device via Bluetooth to the Audi A3:
Make sure your device’s Bluetooth is enabled and that it’s discoverable.
Power up your Audi A3 so you can use the infotainment touchscreen, but keep the vehicle in Park.
From the infotainment touchscreen menu, select “Phone,” then “Connect Device.”
Select your device from the list of available devices. A PIN should appear on both the Audi infotainment screen and your device.
Confirm that the PINs match to finalize your Bluetooth connection.
Once you’ve set up Bluetooth in your Audi A3, you should be able to continue setting up Apple CarPlay or Android Auto if your device is compatible. If your Audi A3’s Bluetooth doesn’t seem to be working, just try turning your device’s Bluetooth on and off again then reconnecting with these instructions.
