How do you connect Bluetooth to a 2014 Honda Pilot?

I recently bought a used 2014 Honda Pilot and would like to play music from my phone using the car’s Bluetooth connection, but I can’t figure out how to pair a device—how do you connect Bluetooth to a 2014 Honda Pilot?

Connecting via Bluetooth to your 2014
Honda Pilot
is pretty simple—all you have to do is follow the steps listed below:
  1. Press the “PHONE” button.
  2. Rotate the multimedia dial to select “Yes” and then press the dial’s center button.
  3. Ensure your phone or mobile device has Bluetooth turned on and is in “search” or “discoverable” mode. Press the dial’s center button—the system will then start searching for Bluetooth devices.
  4. When your phone appears on the multimedia screen as an available device, select it by pressing the dial’s center button.
  5. A pairing code will be displayed on both the multimedia screen and your phone’s touchscreen—confirm that the code matches.
  6. If the pairing process is successful, you will receive a notification on the screen.
When your phone is successfully paired, you should see it displayed on screen with one or two icons beside it. If you see an icon shaped like an old-school mobile phone, your phone can be used with the HandsFreeLink system—if you see an icon shaped like a music note, your phone is compatible with Bluetooth audio.
Remember that only six devices can be paired to your 2014 Honda Pilot and only one device may be connected at a time. It’s also important to note that the vehicle must be stationary to connect a device to the Bluetooth system.
