How do you connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Chevy Silverado?

We just got a used Chevy for our family and it looks like it has Bluetooth available for us to make hands-free calls. How do you connect Bluetooth to a 2012 Chevy Silverado?

Congrats on the new set of wheels!
Here’s how to connect Bluetooth to your 2012 Chevy Silverado:
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
  • On the right side of your Silverado’s steering wheel, press and hold the phone button for two seconds (until you hear voice command start up)
  • Say “Bluetooth” (voice command will confirm with “Bluetooth ready”)
  • Say “Pair” (voice command will confirm with “Pair”)
  • Your Silverado will then direct you to search for “Your Vehicle” on your phone’s pairable devices list and give you a four-digit code to enter
  • Once you select “Your Vehicle” on your phone, enter the given code and select “Pair” (the code will also appear on your gauge panel behind the steering wheel)
  • You Silverado will prompt you to give your phone a nametag—do so after the beep
  • Your Silverado will confirm the name and that your phone has successfully been paired
That’s all there is to it! Now you can automatically make calls on the go by using voice commands or pressing the phone button on your steering wheel. Just make sure that you remain focused on the road as you do so—no one wants a
distracted driving ticket
to bring their
Chevy Silverado insurance costs
up.
