How do you clean car towels?

What's the best way to wash towels I've used to clean my car? I'm frugal and want to keep them so I can use them again later.

“To clean car towels, simply throw them in the wash—but avoid tossing them in with your other laundry.
This will protect the quality of your clothing, as you can’t be sure how the chemicals in car products will impact certain materials.
If you use microfiber car towels (which is highly recommended), washing them separately will avoid coating your other laundry with lint that can be difficult to remove.
