How do you clean car headlights with sandpaper?
My headlights are pretty dirty and foggy. I’ve heard a rumor that cleaning headlights with sandpaper works well. How would I clean my headlights with sandpaper?

- Obtain a ¼ sheet of 800 grit sandpaper.
- Use water to dampen the sandpaper.
- Place the sandpaper on the headlight. It should stick to the headlight itself.
- Spray the whole headlight with water.
- Slowly sand the headlight, continually spraying it with water.
- Use a rag or towel to wipe the headlight at the end to avoid streaking.
Your headlights should now look good as new! If you do notice any remaining dirt or fogginess, you can also try a headlight cleaner. These are available at most auto body retail shops.
