How do you charge a 2010 Toyota Prius battery?

My boyfriend has a Prius and has been spending more nights over at my place recently. I'd like to know how to charge it. Is it complicated?

How nice of you! Electric vehicles are awesome and becoming more popular, so it’s a great skill to know how to charge one. The good news is Toyota worked hard to make this easy.
To charge the battery, all you need is a regular 110-volt electrical outlet and about three hours.
Your boyfriend should have the charging cable that came with the vehicle. All you’d need to do is:
  • Plug the round part in the socket under the driver’s mirror.
  • Take the other end of the cable and plug it into an outlet
And you’re officially charging a Prius battery!
