How do I change the oil life on my 2007 Honda Accord? The service light won’t turn off, and I don’t know why. I already got my oil changed.

The oil life indicator in your
Honda Accord
is not automatic, so it’s easy to forget to turn it off after having your oil changed. But try not to worry—it’s an easy fix! Follow these steps to change the oil life on your 2007 Honda Accord:
  1. Turn your ignition to the RUN position, but don’t start your engine.
  2. Press the SELECT/RESET button to scroll through the settings until your display says Engine Oil Life.
  3. Hold the SELECT/RESET button for approximately 10 seconds—until the display begins to blink.
  4. Release the SELECT/RESET button, then press and hold it again, this time for five seconds.
  5. Turn your ignition to the OFF position, then start your car. Your engine oil life should return to 100%.
While these steps can typically help you reset the oil life light on your 2007 Honda Accord, they won’t fix existing problems with your sensor. If the light still won’t turn off, have a
mechanic
check your sensor for damage. If you’re worried about the cost of a professional diagnosis, offset the price by saving on car insurance with
