How do you change the keyless remote battery in a Honda Odyssey?

I have a used Honda Odyssey that is 4 years old. It runs great, but the key fob is starting to fail. I am hoping it is just the battery. The guy I bought the car from gave me replacement batteries, but I am not sure how to change it out. How do you change the keyless remote battery in a Honda Odyssey?

Keyless remote entry

security
—but you do have to make sure you always have a battery on hand just in case.
To change the keyless remote battery in a Honda Odyssey, you’ll need to use the emergency key blade to open the fob.
Here is all you need to do:
  • Slide the switch above the Honda logo to eject the emergency key blade from the fob.
  • Use the tip of the key to gently pry apart the two halves of the key fob by inserting it into the space where the key blade is housed and turning.
  • Once the key fob is open, pry out the battery from the side opposite the fastening clips.
  • Insert your new battery.
  • Press together the two halves of the key fob until they snap into place.
  • Reinsert your metal key blade into its slot.
