How do you change the headlight bulb on a Toyota Corolla?

A few days ago, one of the headlights on my Toyota Corolla went out. Last night, I was stopped and given a ticket for it. I’ve never changed a headlight before, but I don’t want another ticket so I’d like to fix it quickly. How do I install a new bulb in my Corolla’s headlight?

I’m sorry to hear that you were stopped and ticketed for your dead headlight—that’s a real bummer. Luckily, you can change the headlight bulb in your
Toyota Corolla
in just a few minutes by following these instructions:
  1. Open your hood
and locate the bulb. It will be toward the side of the car directly behind the headlight’s housing.
  2. Twist and pull the end of the bulb to remove it.
  3. Locate the latch on the wire attachments and lift until the wires disconnect.
  4. Attach your new bulb to these wires and return it to its original housing.
Now that your headlight bulb has been changed, you can drive with full visibility and without the fear of getting a ticket. But before you get back out there, check out the
