How do you change the cabin air filter in a 2001 Toyota Camry?
How do I change the cabin air filter on my 2001 Toyota Camry? I bought the car used and haven’t changed the filter yet. I’m planning to do some regular maintenance on it, so I’d like to change the air filter as well.

Actually, the U.S. version of the 2001
Toyota Camry
does not come with an air filter. The EU version came with an air filter, but U.S. Toyotas will have a mesh filtration system instead, which doesn’t need to be changed.That said, it is possible that the previous owner installed a cabin air filter with aftermarket parts. If you believe this is the case, you may need to talk to a mechanic about getting the filter replaced. The directions for replacement will vary from vehicle to vehicle, depending on how the prior mechanic installed the filter.
