I’ve had my Tesla for about four years. For the first time, my key fob stopped working. How do I replace the battery?

“Changing your Tesla key fob’s battery is a simple process that can be done in four easy steps:
Step 1: Open the Key Fob. Release the bottom cover of the key fob by inserting a screwdriver into the small (usually) rectangular space on the back. Step 2: Exchange the Batteries. Remove the dead battery and insert the replacement (type CR23032) with the + side facing up. Batteries can be purchased at most retail stores. Step 3: Close the Key Fob. Align the cover’s tabs with the corresponding slots on the key fob and press the cover down firmly until it snaps into place. Step 4: Test the Fob. Lock and unlock your car to make sure the key fob works.
Since you’re a longtime Tesla owner, you probably haven’t given a whole lot of thought to your
car insurance
since you bought your car. So you’re likely overpaying!
