Colorado
is a beautiful state—have fun! Luckily, you can quickly and easily change the battery in your key fob, so it shouldn’t throw off your schedule too much.
Follow these instructions to change the battery in a Honda key fob from 2018:
  1. Push and slide the metal key release button so you can remove your metal key.
  2. Place your metal key on the seam between each half of your fob, and gently pry apart each half.
  3. Hold your finger just above the battery to make sure nothing essential falls out.
  4. Gently remove the old battery.
  5. Insert your new battery in the same position as the old one using the + and - markers to guide you.
  6. Snap your key fob back together and test it out!
While these steps will likely help you change the battery in your Honda key fob, they may not be applicable for every Honda model. If you need further instructions, check your owner’s manual for model-specific information.
