I’ve done some car repairs before, including spark plugs. I have a different truck now though, so I’m not sure if it will be the same as before. How do you change spark plugs in a Ford F150?

Here is how you can change the spark plugs in a
Ford F150
:
  • Remove the engine cover
  • Remove the coils and electrical connector, then pull the coils out of the plug wells
  • Remove the spark plugs from the plug wells
  • Blow out the plug wells with an air compressor or shop vacuum
  • Spray the plug wells with penetrating oil and allow to sit for 2-3 hours
  • Apply anti-seize lubricant to plug sleeves, and dielectric grease to the plug wells
  • Insert new spark plugs and tighten them in place
  • Reinstall coils, electrical connector, and engine cover
