How do you change a Mazda CX-5 key battery?
The batteries in my car key fob must have died, because I can’t get it to do anything anymore. I need to replace the batteries so the fob works again. How do you change a Mazda CX-5 key battery?

Key fobs are great to have, but the batteries can be an inconvenience when they stop working.
- Press the auxiliary key button on the back of the fob to take out the metal auxiliary key
- Carefully pry open the fob case with a flathead screwdriver, starting from one of the side slots and working your way around slowly
- Remove the case and keep it in a clean, dry space
- Remove the battery cap and battery without damaging the rubber ring
- Insert new battery negative side down, replace the battery cover, fix the sides of the fob case, and re-insert the auxiliary key
