car maintenance
is a great way to save money and preserve your vehicle for a long, healthy life.
Here’s how to change the headlight bulb in your Honda Civic:
  • Make sure that your headlights are off, then
    open the hood
    of your Civic.
  • To access the headlight, you’ll need to remove the air dam by pulling it straight up and disconnecting it from the air filter box. If you have trouble locating the air dam, you can check your owner’s manual for the exact location.
  • Next, reach behind the headlight assembly and locate the headlight retaining ring. Turn the ring counterclockwise until the tabs of the ring align with the grooves in the headlight assembly. Once the tabs align, you should be able to remove the bulb and the collar.
  • Now, disconnect the old bulb and attach your new one.
  • To put everything back, just follow the directions in reverse order!
