How do you change a battery in a Toyota Avalon key fob?

My key fob for my Toyota hasn't been working lately, and I think it needs a new battery. Can I do it myself or do I need to take it somewhere?

You should be able to change the batteries yourself if you have a small flathead screwdriver and a new battery.
Here’s how:
  • Press the metal ignition key release button on the side of your key fob
  • Slide out the key and set it aside
  • Insert a flathead screwdriver into the notch where the metal ignition key was
  • Gently separate the halves of the key fob
  • Replace the dead battery with a new one
  • Reassemble the fob
If you can change your key fob battery at home, you should be able to find the best
