How do you buff and wax a car?

I’m going to put my car up for sale and, in order to get the most money out of it, I want my car to look as good as new. How do you buff and wax a car?

Great idea! Buffing and waxing are one of the easiest ways to get your car in pristine condition. Here’s how to buff and wax a car:
  • Rinse your entire vehicle with water and dry it off with synthetic chamois
  • Cover the parts of your vehicle you’d like to protect with waxing tape (headlights, taillights, door handles, etc.)
  • Using a wool pad and buffing compound, begin buffing in right/left and up/down motions
  • Once the buffing compound has spread evenly over your car, wipe it with a microfiber towel
  • Repeat the buffing process using a polishing compound and wipe it clean with a microfibre towel
  • Using carnauba wax and an application pad, spread wax evenly across the vehicle to fill in any scratches the buffing didn’t get
And there you have it! Your vehicle should have a fresh shine to it that’ll quickly attract buyers.
Once you’ve sold your vehicle, you may want to purchase a new one. Before you get on the road again, ensure you’re protected with the right
