How do you buff a car with a drill?

My daughter got me an awesome drill for my birthday and I heard that they can be used to buff cars. I have a custom paint job and don’t want to risk scratching it, but I do want to try this. How do you buff a car with a drill?

Using a drill to buff your car is a great way to get your car shining without feeling sore the next day.
To buff your car with a drill, you will need:
  • A cordless drill
  • A drill bit
  • Polishing pads
  • Polish
Set your drill up by connecting the polishing pad to the bit and the bit to the drill. Take a few minutes to practice using it before you start on your car.
Once you’re ready, apply polish to the pad and even to the area on your car’s paint before you begin. Start by moving with the drill to find a comfortable rhythm.
Follow up by wiping the area with a microfiber towel to remove any extra polish. If you like how it looks, move on to the rest of your vehicle.
