How do you beat a distracted driving ticket?

Is there any way to fight a distracted driving charge, or do I just have to pay the ticket? I got a distracted driving ticket last week and I’m hoping there’s some way that I can get out of it so I don’t get any more points on my license. How do you beat a distracted driving ticket?

I’m really sorry to hear that you got a ticket! Luckily, you’ll have the opportunity to beat a distracted driving ticket in most states. Your ticket will usually have a court date on it. To fight the ticket, you’ll need to attend the court date with a prepared argument.
In order to beat the ticket, you’ll need to prove that the charge was either necessary or misobserved. If you were on the phone with your partner because she was in labor, for example, that would typically be considered a necessary violation. If you feel that you were wrongfully pulled over, you’ll need to provide evidence to support that claim.
If you want the best chance of getting out of your ticket, however, it’s a good idea to hire
a lawyer
who is well-versed in traffic court. A good attorney will be able to help you fight the charge effectively and hopefully get your charges reduced.
Points on your license can lead to increased insurance rates, too. Fortunately, the
Jerry
app makes it quick and easy to find the best rates available on the coverage you need, whatever your driving record.
Hope that helps!
