We’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your high beams—it sounds like your headlights could use some adjusting! Thankfully, the process of adjusting Jeep
headlights is fairly straightforward. Before you get started, find a level surface facing a wall or flat surface (like in your driveway facing your garage door, or in your garage facing a wall). You’ll use the wall to help when it comes time to visually adjust your beams.
You’ll start by parking close to your flat surface and turning on your car’s headlights. Mark the horizontal and vertical center of each headlight on the wall or garage door (you can use tape for this). Then back up and re-park your car about 25 feet away.
Now you’re ready to adjust the headlights:
Locate your car’s headlight assembly
On the top and side of your car’s headlight assembly, you’ll find two adjustment screws
The adjustment screw on top adjusts the vertical direction of your beams; the adjustment screw on the side adjusts the horizontal direction
Use a Torx screwdriver to turn the screws clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the direction you need them to move until the brightest part of your beam aligns with the center of each tape mark
If you ever lower your jeep or install higher tires, you’ll likely have to repeat this process to readjust the beams again!
