How do you add a car to Nationwide insurance?

My sister is in the process of buying a new car, but she’s not sure what she wants to do for insurance, since it’s been a few years since she’s looked around for a policy. I have Nationwide, and I’d be happy to have her on my plan—but is there any way I can add her car to my Nationwide policy?

t’s always great to hear about family members helping each other out! To add a car to your
Nationwide
insurance policy, all you need to do is call up your agent and let them know what you want to do.
People add vehicles to their policies frequently, so there should be no issues as long as you provide the proper information. To
add a car
to your policy, you’ll need the make, model, year, and vehicle identification number (VIN) for your sister’s car, as well as the license plate number. Be sure to have your own policy number on hand when you speak to your agent - it will speed up the process considerably.
Adding cars to insurance policies may also net you a
discount on your insurance
. For Nationwide, in particular, you could see a 20 percent discount on your annual premium after adding the second vehicle. And don’t worry—having multiple cars on your insurance won’t change anything about your policy. Multi-car insurance works very much the same as single-car insurance.
However, your sister may want to shop for her own insurance instead of getting added to yours. If this is the case, the
Jerry
app is a great place to start. We’ll get your sister customized quotes from more than 50 of the nation’s most competitive insurance providers. And once she’s picked the plan that works best for her, we’ll even help your sister switch over!
Best of luck to your family!
