How do insurance agents get insurance?

Is there a special way for them to get insurance? Do they insure themselves?

“In most cases,
car insurance
or other types of insurance agents get insurance the same a normal person would.
If they were a car insurance agent, they could request quotes or look for a policy with a specific company. Depending on what insurance company the agent works for, they may decide to get a policy with their agency as they’ll likely receive a discount. It’s also possible for an insurance agent to write their policy and also receive commission on it.
However, there’s typically a cap on the amount of commission an insurance agent can receive from this type of business within 12 months. This is typically anywhere from 10% to 15%, depending on the state.
That said, some insurance agents may know the benefit of using Jerry. This disruptor in the car insurance industry has earned plenty of accolades, all by letting customers sign up and compare rates from over 50 insurers.”
