You’re probably already aware that Ford SYNC 4 offers features like music and audio streaming capabilities, navigation, and more.
What’s not as widely known: it also allows for a screen mirroring feature.
First, to be clear, you shouldn’t abuse this feature while you’re driving.
To make use of the feature—watch movies from your SYNC 4—follow these steps:
Pair your phone via Bluetooth.
Once your phone is connected, you can head to the settings menu on your SYNC 4 system and select “Screen Mirroring.”
From there, select your connected device, and you should see your device screen mirrored on the infotainment screen.
Another word of advice: If your goal with screen mirroring was to entertain children or rear-seat passengers with movies or videos, consider putting a video player in the backseat instead. This will make it easier to keep your focus on the road and help you avoid the risk of a distracted driving ticket.
