How do I verify my car insurance?

I want to double-check that my car insurance covers me in the way I think. I am worried I misunderstood the type of coverage I bought. How do I verify my car insurance?

“Verifying your
car insurance coverage
is a cinch! You can verify your insurance information with your provider either online or over the phone. This information will be available to you if you have your account information. Be ready to confirm you are the policy holder with information such as your name, address, Social Security number, or policy number.
Also, every six months you will receive an
auto insurance policy declaration page
. This will verify and summarize your policy. It’s relatively simple to understand and includes important information, such as:
  • Named insureds (yourself and any other insured drivers)
  • Excluded drivers
  • Coverage limits and types of coverage
  • Deductible amounts
  • Length and dates of your effective policy
  • Vehicle identification number(s) (VIN)
  • Make/model of insured vehicles
  • Price of the policy
  • Loss payees/lienholders
If you want to find a new insurance provider or you’re not happy with your coverage, don’t just let it go. Let insurance broker
Jerry
do the hard work. Sign-up is free, and Jerry gives you dozens of quotes to help you choose the perfect policy.”
