How do I unfreeze a car door lock?

I live in Vermont and my car door locks can freeze during the winter. I usually have to wait for them to warm up, which is a pain and can sometimes make me late to work. How do I unfreeze the locks when this happens? Is there an easier way?

“Frozen car door locks are definitely frustrating for anyone who deals with chilly winters! The best way to unfreeze a car lock in a state like Vermont is to use vinegar.
Simply pour the vinegar into a spray bottle and spray the lock. This should dissolve the ice within a few minutes.
If this doesn’t work, or if you damage the lock by trying to pry away the ice, you may want to use the
towing and labor coverage
on your
car insurance
policy. They’ll send a locksmith out to see if the problem can be resolved.
If you don’t have towing and labor coverage, it might be a good time to add that coverage to your policy! One easy way to find the best price on towing and labor is to use the
