How do I turn on the heated seats in a BMW X3?

I just upgraded to a new BMW X3. I have some pretty bad arthritis, and the winter tends to get it acting up, so I’m excited about the heated seats. However, I’m not exactly sure how to get them turned on. How do I turn on my BMW X3’s heated seats?

Congrats on upgrading to a car like a BMW! They can seem complicated, but I’m happy to say that turning on the heated seats in a BMW X3 only takes a few simple steps. Here’s what to do:
  1. Find the increase and decrease buttons. These should be fairly easy to find from the driver’s seat.
  2. Press and hold them simultaneously. Wait for a light to start flashing; this will indicate that the heating has turned on.
  3. Use the buttons to determine the temperature. Press the left button to lower the temperature and the right button to raise it.
  4. Press both buttons again. Once you have found the perfect temperature for you, press both buttons again to set the temperature.
And that’s all there is to it!
