My BMW X3 has four-wheel drive, which I love, since I live in Minnesota. However, I really don’t need 4x4 during the spring, so I’d prefer to have it off. How can I turn off the 4x4 in a BMW X3?
Turn on Sport Mode. Sport Mode automatically turns off four-wheel drive and disables your electronic stability control systems.
Turn on the Off-Road option. This will keep the stability control systems online but takes a little longer to turn the four-wheel drive off. You can choose this option on the center console or your key fob.
And that’s all there is to it!
