I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your Dodge Ram’s
autopark feature. A lot of Ram owners have had similar frustrations. To release the lock and turn off autopark in your Dodge Ram, shift into park, press down on the brake pedal, and push forward on the parking brake, releasing the lock.
Unfortunately, this only disables autopark for that particular instance. It doesn’t permanently disable the feature. It’s a somewhat annoying involuntary safety feature. This can be really problematic, especially if you need to lean out for a better view while towing a load with your truck.
Luckily, there’s an easy workaround. The autopark will not engage if the driver’s seatbelt is buckled. If you need to lean out while parking your truck and don’t want the autopark to trigger, make sure the seatbelt is buckled.
The autopark may be a less helpful safety feature, but quality car insurance
is not. To make sure you and your Dodge
are protected, you’ll want to have good insurance coverage–and review that coverage at least once a year to avoid overpaying. That’s where Jerry
comes in! Once you download Jerry, just answer a handful of questions that will take you roughly 45 seconds to complete, and you’ll immediately get car insurance quotes for coverage similar to your current plan. Jerry customers save an average of $887 a year. MORE: How to get cheap truck insurance
