How do I turn off a car alarm on a Honda Accord?

How do I disable a car alarm? My car has been experiencing several issues due to my battery failing. I’ve booked an appointment with a shop to get the battery replaced, but until then, is there any way I can disable my Honda Accord’s alarm?

Follow these steps to disable your
Honda Accord’s
alarm:
  • Step 1: Locate the lock on the driver’s side door.
  • Step 2: Insert your Accord’s physical key from its key fob into the lock.
  • Step 3: Turn the key to unlock the door.
  • Step 4: Turn the key back to lock the door.
  • Step 5: Turn the key once more to unlock the door.
The car alarm should now turn off. If not, repeat steps 3 through 5 until it does.
You can also try these options if you’re just looking for a quick way to stop your Honda’s alarm from going off:
  • Unlock the vehicle with your fob or smart entry system.
  • Turn your ignition to the ON position, or press the Engine Start/Stop button without pressing the brake.
Worst case scenario: If you don’t have a key or your fob, the Accord’s alarm will shut off on its own after two minutes.
