I just rescued a Great Dane named Duke. While I love him dearly, traveling in the car to the park or vet appointments isn’t exactly easy. What are some tips to travel with a large dog in a car?

To travel with a large dog in a car, here are some handy tips:
- Put a bed in the back seat to ensure that your large dog is comfortable.
- Buy a harness or special seat belt so your dog is secured in the car.
- Always have food and water that’s easy for your dog to reach.
- Go slowly. If Duke is freaked out by the car, ease him into it with positive reinforcement and treats. Take short trips first before you decide to go on a long haul.
